Children and Youth Safe Church Policy
It is the purpose of Wallingford United Methodist Church to conduct all youth/children related events in ways that promote the safety and spiritual growth of all of our youth/children, as well as all of the workers with youth/children who also participate in these events. Kari Olson is the Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministries. If you do not find what your are looking for about the Youth programs at Wallingford on this page, please contact Kari. PrimeTime! Youth: PrimeTime! is a fellowship group for 3rd-5th graders. It provides an opportunity for kids and their parents to begin to make relationships with others at church. The primary purpose of this group is fellowship. We will also, on occasion, plan projects which serve the church and the wider community. PrimeTime! meets once a month on the first Sunday of the month right after the 11:00 AM service. We share a meal together and then participate in a variety of activities. All programs finish at 3:00 p.m. unless otherwise notified. Contact: Kari Olson. Middle and High School Youth: Meet weekly on Sundays at 5:00 - 7:00 PM. We meet jointly with the youth groups from Sandpoint UMC and Haller Lake UMC, and rotate our meeting location monthly between the three churches. We enjoy service projects such as Teen Feed, a lock in at church, going bowling, as well as just hanging out at church. We prize our annual Winter Retreat at Lazy F over MLK weekend. Contacts: Judy Hannah, Scott Anderson and Will Hamp. Return to Top

Sister
Parish is an ecumenical, non-profit organization. Its goal is to foster
mutual understanding and commitment to peace and justice among people in
North and Latin America in order to build and celebrate together the reign
of God. This goal is achieved by linking congregations from the North with
congregations in the South so that each may experience the realities of the
other's lives and cultures on a religious, political, social, and economic
level. Key to the program is the concept of mutuality and relationship
building. Sister Parish currently has established more than thirty linkages between congregations throughout the US with those in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and the Texas-Mexico border region. These relationships involve a range of denominations, including Lutheran, Catholic, Methodist, and Presbyterian. Click here for more information about WUMC and Sister Parish. Return to Top
