WUMC Teams and Groups Our Organization for Ministry at Wallingford UMC is designed to encourage hands-on ministry and minimize the need for administrative meetings. Ministry Teams are the heart and soul of programming at WUMC. Responding to needs in the community and to their own sense of call, members and friends form ministry teams to make our faith concrete and visible in the world. Sunday School, PrimeTime!, Reconciling Ministries, Teen Feed, the Building & Grounds crew, Sister Parish, and the Choir are just a few of our ministry teams. New ideas and new teams spring up every year. In addition, Small Group Ministries are an important aspect of being a part of what's happening at Wallingford UMC. We attend liturgical services or musical events here at WUMC as participants, but seldom in a conversational mode. Yet we recognize that we build relationships in smaller groups. The goals of our small groups are to build discipleship and faith, to strengthen our interpersonal and community relationships, to promote spiritual development, and to participate in acts reflecting our spiritual journeys and practices. Groups at Wallingford UMC self-identify and evolve in a multitude of patterns. A current listing is always posted in the Narthex with contact names.
