Child Care Center
Our church supports and houses the Wallingford United Methodist Child Care Center.
The Wallingford United Methodist Child Care Center (WCCC) was established by the church in 1968 as a way to contribute to the Wallingford community. WCCC and Wallingford United Methodist Church have a supportive relationship, but WCCC maintains a non-religious curriculum open to the Wallingford neighborhood and the greater Seattle area.
WCCC is committed to helping each child build a positive self image through his or her intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. The curriculum is integrative, multi-ethnic, creative, and promotes success for children in their school and home environments. WCCC teachers are professionals who receive continuing education through WCCC.
WCCC currently serves families in the Wallingford area ages 0-5 years old on a full- or part-time basis.
-Children are grouped into 5 classrooms depending on their age: 2 months-1yo.,1-2yo, 2-3yo, 2.5-3.5yo., and 3.5-5yo.
-We practice a Reggio Emilia curriculum that is focused on play-based learning
-We are licensed to serve 58 students and we offer low student-to-teacher ratios to provide more individualized attention to our students
-We are a well-known child care center in the Wallingford area
-We are proud to serve local families and are grateful for our partnership with the United Methodist Church, which allows us to provide this service to the Wallingford area
